Our sixth edition of the festival, among the more than 50 selected films, has two very special feature films, aimed at teenagers, with incredible and unprecedented stories.<\/p>\n
The first one,\u00a0Mes fr\u00e8res et moi<\/em><\/strong>, by Yohan Manca, a French fiction from 2021 that which depicts a teenager’s summer vacation in the south of France.<\/p>\n Nour, a 14-year-old boy, is enjoying the beginning of the summer holidays in the South of France. He is the youngest of four brothers. They live together in a council estate, taking turns caring for their mother who is in a coma. She used to love Italian Opera, so Nour plays it for her, and develops a passion for that music. Between community work and rising tensions at home, Nour dreams of escaping to a faraway place. When he crosses paths with Sarah, an Opera singer teaching summer classes, he finally finds the opportunity to come out of his shell and explore new horizons.<\/p>\n The story can be watched on the big screen this Saturday (29), at 3:30pm, at Casa das Artes.<\/p>\n The second one, called\u00a0La Travers\u00e9e<\/em><\/strong>, by Florence Miailhe, an animation co-produced between France, Germany and Czech Republic in 2021, which tells the story about a\u00a0small village looted in darkness, a family forced to flee. The two oldest children, Kyona and Adriel are quickly separated from their parents facing the road of exile alone. They embark on a heroic journey which takes them from childhood to adolescence in search of shelter, peace and the hope of finding refuge and their family. Crossing a continent torn apart by war and migrant persecution, these courageous siblings survive incredible challenges, before reaching a new world, free at last.<\/p>\n
