For this 9th edition, we invited illustrator and animation director Alexandra Allen to reflect on the theme of community. The result is a vibrant creation made up of colorful characters that will bring the festival to life until February 2, 2025.<\/p>\n

As a festival that seeks to reflect on contemporaneity, offering through cinema and its various parallel activities a positive, reflective, real and imaginary perspective on life and humanity, and taking into account the current contexts of the world, such as wars with a consequent violence towards children, in various parts of the planet, we have defined the theme of this edition of the festival as \u201cCOMMUNITY\u201d – with the aim of opening a window of positive light to build a better world, with more empathy.<\/p>\n

Cinema is, par excellence, a community space, that is, cinemas are places that bring together people from different backgrounds with a common purpose. We want to create spaces to reflect on how we can be better as a community. Through the films we present, we will explore the spirit of collective construction and the positive gains that come from making and discovering together.<\/p>\n

It is with this optimism for children and young people that we begin another edition in Porto!<\/p>\n
