The use of the planet’s natural resources to fuel consumption is unsustainable. How can the installed consumption power be fought? What is the real need we have to consume and how can we do it to live in a simpler way, in a greater respect for our planet and for the future of the next generations?<\/p>\n
With the contribution of young ecologists from Porto involved in the organisations Greve Clim\u00e1tica Estudantil Porto, Zero Waste Youth and Extinction Rebellion, we will talk about threats such as global warming, movements such as the Climate Strike and, of course, about Julie Caty’s Normal<\/strong>, film which we will be able to see in this debate thus marking the importance of these issues in\u00a0the agenda.<\/p>\n Participants<\/strong><\/p>\n \u00c9rica Liberato<\/strong> is an active leader of Zero Waste Youth Portugal<\/strong>, an international movement of youth empowerment towards zero waste. She is also part of Youth Climate Leaders and UN MGCY – Main Group of\u00a0 <\/span>Children and Youth of the United Nations. Among other things, she acts as a consultant, social entrepreneur and Brazilian Youth Delegate in the UN and OECD Forums.<\/p>\n Alice Abreu<\/strong> is part of the movement Extinction Rebellion<\/strong>, a global environmental movement with the stated aim of using nonviolent civil disobedience to reach climatic, ecological and social justice. Alice is a ESMAE violin graduate and sees herself not only as an instrumentalist, but also as an artivist.<\/p>\n Joana Coimbra<\/strong> has been a climate activist\u00a0for around 2 years for Greve Clim\u00e1tica Estudantil<\/strong>, a student collective that fights for environmental justice.
