In order to better understand the relationships between the living beings that make up a biotic community, we’ll use the short film A Carpa e a Criança, by Arnaud Demuynck and Morgane Simon, to build a Food Web, which will allow us to explore the interactions between different species that coexist in a particular habitat, in this case a lake. In this food web, we will identify and represent the living beings that appear in the film and discover how they relate to each other. Who is the predator? Who is the prey? This activity will help us understand how ecosystems work and the importance of each living being as a whole. We’ll realize that biotic communities are complex, interconnected systems.
