IndieJunior is taking its first steps towards Porto to offer young audiences a week full of cinema and activities!

And this is a friendly reminder of the dates of the 9th edition of the international children’s and youth film festival IndieJúnior.

IndieJunior Porto returns with more cinema from around the world for all children. In addition to the cinema, our festival brings numerous parallel activities that invite children and young people to reflect on cinema, the world and themselves, as creativity is an endless tool for putting our inner world into perspective with the world around us.

IndieJunior Porto in 2025 returns to Invicta, flooding the usual venues with animation: Batalha Cinema Centre, Casa Comum, Coliseu, Maus Hábitos and many other places.

We’ll be back with a cuddly programme of lap cinema and a sweet tooth with cinema at the table, as well as a film debate or a film-concert with live music.

Let’s not forget our important educational project “I programme a film festival”. A project that takes place over time, in which certain classes from different cycles select and programme films to play at our festival! Encouraging children and young people to think about cinema is one of the main purposes IndieJunior is committed to!

And who will be the personality to choose “My First Film”? Last year Wandson Lisboa (infuencer) gave us “Toy Story”. What film marked the childhood of our guest? And what film marked your childhood? 🙂

The next edition is less far away than it seems.
