The “I programme a film festival” project, supported by ICA and with IPCA (Polytechnic Institute of Cavado and Ave) and EPC (Campanhã Professional School) as partners, starts at the beginning of September.
As in previous years, the activities will bring together classes from the 1st, 2nd and 3rd cycles and secondary schools, during the first and second terms of the school year, to watch and discuss short films from different countries. At the same time, these students will take part in theoretical and practical film workshops. Together with the IndieJunior programming team, they will choose a set of films for the programme and competition of the IndieJunior Porto Festival and will be present to present these choices at the festival.
Some of the aims of this activity:
– To achieve active participation
– Promote the skills of dialogue, respect and tolerance through moments of debate.
– To promote responsibility and group decision-making by choosing a programme that will be available to everyone
– Showing a variety of films
– Fostering a taste for the arts and a critical sense
– Work on divergent thinking
