University of Porto Impact Award

 

Ana Monteiro

Ana Monteiro is a designer and illustrator, always looking for creative ways to bring science to life. Between Casa Comum and the Museum of Natural History and Science at the University of Porto, she creates posters, drawings and visual stories that bring science closer and full of color. With a penchant for the more curious and unexpected side of nature, she uses her illustrations to tell stories that captivate and surprise.

 

Ana Moura

Ana da Silveira Moura is the co-author of the script for the film Bloodless Revolution, released on April 11, 2024, which deals with the issue of the four young people murdered by the PIDE on the day of the Carnation Revolution.
Under the literary pseudonym of A.M.P. Rodriguez, as well as being a screenwriter, she has participated in anthologies such as “The Golden Years of Portuguese Pulp Fiction”. She is co-founder of Invicta Imaginária, responsible for the Winepunk project and is also the creator of the Alternative History podcast “Intermittente”. She is the creative co-coordinator, co-curator and mentor of the Creative Europe project Hypothesis You Preserve (HYP).

 

Joana Amarelo

She’s a student at the Soares dos Reis Art School, in the 12th grade. She’s specializing in multimedia and animation.
She’s very interested in movies and photography. She also likes to draw, particularly people and/or characters and watercolor sketches.
In her spare time, she likes to exercise, listen to music, cook, spend time with her siblings and meet up with friends.

 

Luiza Carvalho

She is studying Multimedia at the Campanhã Professional School. She loves art, drawing and social issues. She thinks it’s a very comprehensive course, and with what she learns, she can think and develop ideas in the technical classes. In his spare time, he likes to read, watch movies and sleep a lot.

 

Vitor Silva

PhD student in Science Teaching and Dissemination, with a degree in Biology and Geology Teaching from FCUP (pre-Bologna, 2004), specializing in Geology for Teaching. He is a member of the SEI group at CIIMAR.
Since 2006 he has coordinated the Junior University project, organizing activities, managing the website and evaluating impact. She has presented studies at national and international conferences.
She participates in scientific communication initiatives, exhibitions and educational activities, in collaboration with Porto City Council and other partners. She coordinated the H2020 PHERECLOS project and prepares applications for funding.

 

APEI Award

 

Cristina Isabel Alves

Born in Matosinhos and lives in Maia. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters in Methodologies and Supervision from the University of Minho. She is currently studying for a PhD in Educational Sciences at the Faculty of Psychology and Educational Sciences at the University of Porto. Her research interests focus on documentation and evaluation in education. She is a lecturer at the Escola Superior de Educação do Porto – Instituto Politécnico do Porto, in the department of Supervision in Early Childhood Education and in the 1st Cycle of Basic Education. A movie buff, she has accompanied groups of pre-school children to the IndieJunior editions in Porto.

 

Linda Saraiva

Linda Saraiva has a PhD in Human Motricity from the Faculty of Human Motricity of the University of Lisbon (2014), is a coordinating professor at the IPVC School of Education and is a member of the Teacher Education and Training Discipline Group. She is currently President of the Technical Scientific Council of the ESE-IPVC and coordinator of the degree course in Basic Education. As a researcher, she is a member of the Center for Research and Innovation in Education (inED).

 

Conceição Cerqueira Vieira

Born in Nampula, Mozambique in 1962. She lives in Viana do Castelo, her parents’ hometown, is married, has 2 children, 2 grandchildren and 4 siblings. She is the Intermunicipal Coordinator of the National Arts Plan for the Alto Minho region of Esposende, Póvoa de Varzim, Vila de Conde and Vila Verde. She is a member of the Supervisory Board of the Association of Childhood Education Professionals (APEI), where she is also a trainer. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of a Social Solidarity Institution for Children and Young People.
