Inês Lapa is a multi-instrumentalist creator who specializes in collective and interdisciplinary creative processes and has a degree in Music Leadership from the Guildhall School of Music & Drama (London). Since 2012 she has been part of PELE, a structure focused on Community Artistic Practices, taking on the artistic direction of various projects. In 2018 she joined the teams of the Casa da Música Education Service and the Matosinhos Jazz Orchestra as a regular trainer. She has also directed vocal and instrumental groups in workshops and community shows and played in various improvisation and collective composition ensembles. In 2022 she released her first album “tangente”, a duo of violins and voices where she develops her practice as a composer and performer.
She will be the artist invited to create a memorable soundscape around four films that evoke the idea of community in different ways. The session begins with the movie Careful, the Doors Are About to Open, where we dive into a hectic day on the pocket subway. Then we’ll follow the adventure of a Poodle dog in Catch the Sausage. The dog’s escape creates a chain reaction that sweeps up dozens of people. A comedy that celebrates the unbridled desire to take spectacle and laughter beyond the limit. The third film is by Walt Disney and came to prominence with this early version of Alice’s Wonderland. Fantasy and reality intertwine in an entertaining way. This special session ends hilariously with a family of acrobats – Kiriki – Japanese Acrobats – who do things impossible for any acrobat.

To end the session, we’ll meet The Girl with the Occupied Eyes who, even when she’s out and about, is always distracted. Her eyes are stuck on her phone… What can you do to take her mind off it?

One day his mother starts to lose her fur, but Scrubby might just have enough for both of them. In Back Then, we learn about a little girl’s experiences at her grandparents’ house throughout the four seasons of the year. Then, in Filante, we discover that a bat holds pieces of the moon while a little girl searches for her mouse. The two will cross paths in this magical story. Then, in Hooves on Skates, two friends go skating on top of a completely frozen lake and make the most of it. But when cracks and fissures begin to appear, something mysterious is revealed.

Hello Grandpa, Hello Grandma is an animated self-portrait in which the grandchildren discover what it’s like to be a grandparent in their own eyes. When you’re a bat, you Upside Down, but instead of sleeping during the day, the bat in this story takes the opportunity to wake up and feel the sun on his wings and meet a new friend! A little boy gets caught up in his thoughts, but they all lead to Marie, his desk mate. The fourth film in this session, Writing Home, tells the story of a beetle who sees her world upended when a fire separates her from her family and traps her in a city where all the dangers are enormous. In Aerialist, we meet a girl whose life is illuminated by a dream when she meets some acrobats. The session ends with Mr. Chicken goes to Mars, who likes to travel to any destination. The important thing is not only the destination, but also the “people” we meet along the way…

Little Léo laughs, just like the other children at the camp. But what he doesn’t tell anyone is that when he thinks of little Lucie, his mouth starts to glow!

With the sea and the urban Algarve as a backdrop, we follow a complete cycle in the life of a special mollusc called Percebes while crossing contexts and getting to know the region and those who live there better. Don Cannelloni is boiling with rage. Someone has dared to cut up the best (premium) parmigiano cheese with cheap pre-grated cheese! It’s up to Tony Riga and Al Capenne to get John Spagotti to confess in Cooked Fellas.

Karin, 11, finds herself abandoned by her father in a small Japanese village where her grandfather, a monk, lives. Grandpa asks the ghost cat Anzu to take care of little Karin. At a giant size and 37 years old, Anzu is jovial, cooperative but capricious, and has a lot of gumption. Their spiritual personalities collide, sparks fly – but they soon become inseparable. Ghost Cat Anzu was produced between France and Japan, and played at the last edition of the Cannes Film Festival. For fans of Studio Ghibli, an animated film not to be missed!
