We want to help schools and teachers plan their school activities, so we’d like to remind you that IndieJunior is coming up with lots of new films for children and young people, as well as other fun activities for all ages!

IndieJúnior Porto’s mission is to offer its target audience the opportunity to see films (shorts and features, animation, documentary and fiction) that don’t reach regular distribution channels, allowing them to meet new ways of seeing and thinking about the world that auteur cinema provides.

The programme includes sessions for the various age groups: pre-school (+3 years), primary school (+6 years), secondary school (+10 years), secondary school (+12 years), and secondary school (+15 years).

In this 9th edition of the festival, which takes place from 27 January to 2 February 2025, the theme will be “Community”, because we need to build together, and because each person’s creative potential gains strength when explored collectively.

Cinema brings people together, it allows for diverse sharing that calls for the creation of communities.
As well as films, IndieJunior Porto also offers numerous fun activities to do together and to bring all children together!
