In the 10th edition of IndieJúnior Porto, we are celebrating a new partnership! For the first time, the Porto Planetarium is hosting the festival, with the film “A Cosmic Pudding and Other Journeys,” aimed at children aged 6 and up, and the “Eat-able Galaxy” workshop.
Dubbed into Portuguese, “A Cosmic Pudding and Other Journeys” offers a fabulous journey through time and interstellar space. The images are created exclusively from real food, animated and staged to resemble extraordinary cosmic phenomena. Inspired by years of research in astrophysics and biology, Geneviève Anhoury’s work uniquely combines art and science, awakening childhood curiosity and joy by looking at everyday life with new eyes. This session at the Planetarium also includes a short animated film and a live space journey through the sky!
The Edible Galaxy workshop encourages children aged 3 and up to develop their imagination, transforming them into mini chefs.
In the first part of the activity, each child will decorate their cosmic cupcake. In the second part, the children will have to assemble their edible solar system with fruits of various colors and textures. In the end, each of them will have created their own “Eat-able Galaxy”, mixing science, art, and cooking in a delicious universe of color and imagination.
